Jacob followed Abraham as the patriarch of his family. God had already determined his destination, yet his mother, Rachael, manipulated circumstances to assure that Jacob, not Esau would become the next patriarch. All of us need to remember that nothing is too hard for God. Relax, have faith and watch God’s plans prevail. The main problem in this home was lying. Rachael lied to assure that Jacob would become the next patriarch. Not good.
“Nothing is too hard for God.” (Jeremiah 32:17) Rachael did not have to lie for Jacob to become the patriarch.
